When we first launched the new Find a Grave site, Alison (a Find a Grave contributor) suggested a different front page photo than the one we had chosen. We liked hers and updated the site to use it. Alison’s photo has been a great addition to the site and we really appreciate her sharing it with all of us.
Our plan is to occasionally update the image on the homepage and we are looking for other photos that we could use there. If you have one that you think would be a good fit, please post it here.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind as you consider photos to share:
- To fit, the photo will need to be at least 1280 pixels wide and
- For copyright reasons, please be sure to only submit photos you have taken and are willing to share the rights to.

Greetings, The previous version of Findagrave allowed the source code to be copied for inclusion into web pages, etc. I had obtained the open source code from the Findagrave site and paired the code down to a simple box with a Findagrave logo and a box to enter a memorial#. This worked well as a standalone quick and dirty search as well as being able to embed the code into my website pages. I see that Legacy has the ability now to click on a memorial ID field and it will take you to that memorial ID straight out of the Legacy database. Is this version of Findagrave opensource such that I could accomplish the aforementioned again? If so, How can I obtain the code? Thank you, Roger C. Morrison
